Oliver was only one of nine horses who jumped clear in the big and difficult 1m60 Grand Prix of Europe. Harrie was third last to go in the jump-off and opted to go for a safe clear round as the other six riders before him all had one fence down. Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (Ninja La Silla) went after Harrie and jumped clear in a faster time to take the lead, Bezzie Madden (Coral Reef Via Volo) was last to go and new exactly what she had to do, she took two seconds of Rolfs time to win the class.Strangely enough not one rider from the host nation made the jump-off and the first three horses were all smaller than 1m65! Who says we need big horses.
Tomorrow night Harrie will ride Walnut De Muze in the Meydon Super League Nations Cup.
