Jumpy Des Fontaine sadly died of colic yesterday in China. Jumpy was 12 years old by the former olympic champion Jus De Pomme x Ramiro x Almé. He won and was placed in many claas by his former rider Patrice Deleveau before Harrie Smolders was given the ride. Harrie was very successful with Jumpy, ending 6th place in the Dutch national championship and placed many times at the International jumpings.
Jumpy was sold to Mr Li Quang Zhen from Quandong, China. It was Mr Li's dream to compete at the Olympic Games in his home town of Beijing, there was no better horse to make his dream come true than Jumpy.
In February Jumpy went to Mr Li 's stable in China. Next week he was due to compete in the Chinese national Champioships.
Jumpy De Fontaine was an approved stallion by Zangersheide, AES and NRPS.
