Harrie and Walnut finished in second place in the 5* Grand Prix of Madrid. Ten horses jumped clear to qualify for the jump-off, Walnut was in the lead until the very last rider, the Italian rider Emilio Bicocchi with Jeckerson Kapitol d'Argonne were slightly faster to win the class. Third place was Dermot Lennon with Hallmark Elite and fourth went to Kevin Staut with Silvana de Hus.
