Harrie and Exquis Walnut De Muze (Nabab De Reve x Chin Chin) won the 1m55 Rabobank Championship of Rotterdam. From nearly 50 starters only 5 went through to the jump-off. Harrie was first to go and put the pressure on the other riders with a very fast clear round. Maikel Van Der Vleuten was 1.3 seconds slower to finish 2nd.
Emerald (Diamant de Semilly x Carthago) jumped clear rounds in all the 7yr old classes. In the final on sunday morning he was one of nine horses to jump clear. It was a very fast jump-off with 7 horses finishing in the same second! Emerald finished in 5th place. See the videos below

Gedurende het evenement was er een rubriek voor jonge paarden (+/- 1.35 m niveau). Zondag vond in deze rubriek de finale plaats. De uiteindelijke winnaar was de Duitser David Will met Baloubetta Du Soleil. Uiteraard een knappe prestatie, maar ik was zelf het meest gecharmeerd van het de hengst Emerald (7 jaar) onder Harrie Smolders. Volgens mij heeft deze hengst alles in zich om ook goed mee te doen tot op het hoogste niveau.
CSI Bonheiden
Jos and Cayak (Calido x Masseto) finished 3rd in the 1m40 speed class. In the ranking class on saturday, Domino (Thunder Van de Zuuthoeve x Azur Depaulstra) jumped a nice round but had an unlucky fault at the very last jump!
Harrie and Jos will ride this weekend at the the National Gold League show in Zandhoven. Exquis Walnut de Muze and Regina Z will fly on Thursday to Spruce Meadows in Calgary.
